Bonifacio hotels are quite a scarce commodity (especially for those on a tight budget) and get booked up quickly. There is very limited accommodation in the Old Town, so the majority of hotels are located along a narrow strip next to the harbour.
A one-way system is in operation here, and for those hotels with no parking you can drop your baggage off outside then drive to park in the public car park.
Hotels in the Old Town and Marina
Hotel Solemare is a 3-star hotel and has an enviable position right on the marina’s edge with beautiful views across the port to the citadel.
The 44 modern air-conditioned rooms have all been recently renovated and the heated outdoor swimming pool has a decked seating area which also has fine views.
The hotel has a bar/lounge but no restaurant although this is not a problem in Bonifacio. Private car park.
Hotel La Caravelle is the attractive former Harbour Master’s Office right on the waterfront. The hotel is nautically themed and boasts attractive communal areas.
It may be one of the smaller Bonifacio hotels but makes up for this in style. It consists of up of ten rooms and attracts wealthy tourists who are looking for a waterfront location.
There is parking available and the hotel is open from March to November.
Hotel Du Centre is a quaint yet vibrant hotel in a prime location by Bonifacio’s quayside.
The twenty eight rooms are compact but comfortable, with those on the upper floor having superb views over the port.
The hotel provides a central location, next to the B 52 late-night bar. There is secure free parking. Open mid April to mid October.
Hotel Genovese is one of the few 4 star Bonifacio hotels in the Old Town. It provides very chic and modern accommodation throughout, with elevated marina views from some rooms (interior facing rooms overlook a courtyard).
Has a superb outdoor pool built into the ancient walls with a terrace providing fantastic views.
Secure parking is provided (note you will need the access code prior to entering). Open March to December. 15 rooms, 3 suites.
Santa Teresa is a large hotel in Bonifacio’s Bosco area (at the end of the promontory).
Overlooking the Marine Cemetery it has breathtaking views across the Bonifacio Straits to Sardinia. The Peaceful, isolated location is within walking distance of the Old Town.
The forty four rooms are comfortable and it’s worth trying to get a sea-facing room to make the most of the hotel’s unique setting. Parking available. Open April to October.
Marina di Cavu (Hotel and Villas) are located six km from Bonifacio, in a beautifully serene location on a hill overlooking the Lavezzi Islands.
The accomodation includes 9 rooms, 21 villas and a stunning pool with terrace.
A nearby isolated beach (less than 1 km away) can be accessed on foot, via maquis and dunes.
The hotel is open all year round with the villas open mid March to mid November (half board is obligatory for the villas).
Villa Marie Claire is a luxurious villa, 10 minutes from Bonifacio by car. It can accommodate up to 8 people in 3 doubles and 1 twin room.
